30 October - Haworth Vintage Fair, The Old School Rooms, Haworth
What a brilliant vintage fair in Haworth. It was packed to the rafters with lots of vintage lovelyliness. It was also Halloween and there were some fabulous costumes. The catering by Home Front Kitchen was delicious. I loved the sticky apple muffins and butternut squash soup. We sold some lovely fur coats for winter and surprisingly a cheeky 1940s playsuit!
14/15/16 & 17 October 2011 - Pickering Wartime Weekend Fab Weekend see pics phew exhausted!
17 September - Victoria Hall, Saltaire Vintage Fair & Fashion Show
Our beautiful Saturday girl Elinor Brook was a model in the Saltaire Vintage Fashion Show on Friday evening. She gracefully floated along the catwalk in front of hundreds of people wearing some stunning vintage dresses. It really is lovely to see vintage clothes being modelled only then can your appreciate the style and elegance of vintage fashion. Thank you to Caroline Brown for organising this wonderful event as part of Saltaire festival. We had a great time and sold some wonderful things including a 1940s Dutch despatch riders leather coat!
2, 3 and 4 September - Blackpool Savoy Hotel Seaside Swing
We will be selling lots of lovely vintage items for all the dancers at the Savoy. From polka dot circle skirts to strings of pearls.
Looking forward to a ride on the trams and a visit to the beautiful tower ballroom.
30 August - Haworth's Calendar Girls
"Just remember next time to think before volunteering for something" were my thoughts as at 6am I was standing on Haworth's picturesque cobbled main street, outside Oh La La Vintage wearing nothing but a smile! Its all in aid of the local church restoration fund. A group of local folk decided it would be a good idea to make a calendar to sell. Why did I eat all those lovely cakes at the vintage fair that weekend. Anyway for more information on the calendar http://www.haworth-village.org.uk/local/go.asp?group=153 Please show your support and buy a copy when it goes on sale. My son will be even more mortified if you do, he suggested it should be called Big Buns and Bingo Wings!
28 and 29 August - Haworth Vintage Fair
And a wonderful time was had by all. I have to say whenever I attend a vintage fair I must remember I am there to sell not BUY! I spent far too much but bought some gorgeous things including a Victorian Dressage Top Hat, a cute pack of 1950s playing cards featuring starlets of the day, a wonderul gents tailcoat (great with hotpants and the top hat!) and lots more. The vintage fairs in Haworth are held in the Old School Rooms which was built for the Bronte family to teach the local children. It is a very interesting historic building. With the playground at the back you can almost hear the children playing hopscotch!
20 and 21 August - Lytham, St Annes Wartime Weekend
We had a wonderful weekend at the seaside town of Lytham. With over a thousand visitors each day to the vintage fair in the Assembly Rooms. Oh La La Vintage was just in the entrance to the venue. We sold some lovely things from a world war 2 gas mask to a 1940s sheepskin flying jacket! We were able to listen to the lovely Paul and Natasha Harper singing on Saturday and Olympia Radio entertaining us on Sunday. I am really looking forward to 2012 as this event is going to be huge. We will be putting on dances next year on Friday and Saturday night in the Lowther Pavillion as well as the fair in the Assembly Rooms. As soon as tickets go on sale we will let everyone know.
30th and 31st July - Leyburn Wartime Weekend
A lovely time was had by all. One of the nicest places we have visited and the people of Leyburn are so friendly. We had a lovely weekend and the event was very popular. With Paul and Natasha Harper singing to the crowds. Ken Pugh and the yanks who behaved like true gentleman keeping me fed and watered and even taking Natasha Harper and myself for a spin round Leyburn in one of their jeeps! I would like to say a great big thank you to Mick and Joan Hodgson for helping put up and take down our new marquee.
23 July 2011 - Whitby Pavillion
It might have been one of the windiest days on record but that didn't stop lots of passionate vintage shoppers heading to Whitby Pavillion. This was the first vintage fair in the Pavillion organised by the lovely Caroline Brown, and I'm hoping it won't be the last. We had a fab day and met some lovely people. We had people buying hats, handbags, shoes and dresses. The lady from London who bought the fabulous 1950s leopard print hat, you looked stunning! Thanks to friends who brought me coffee and cakes, you know who you are!

2 & 3 July 2011 - Ingleton 1940s Weekend
Thanks to the organisors of Ingleton 1940s weekend for a fabulous event and wow did the sun shine! Here are some pictures of our lovely friends and customers.....
We have recently been working with the BBC on a documentary called "Hidden Paintings" and had a lovely time chatting to presenter Linda Barker. The programme gives an insight into the advertising posters and artists promoting holidays to the coast in Yorkshire. Oh La La Vintage helped provide 1930s costumes for Linda to wear. Hopefully you can see Linda interviewing me about the 1930s fashions and trends. Make sure you don't miss it when its shown Sunday 26th June 2011 at 6pm BBC1.
Thanks to everyone who came along to the Haworth 1940s Weekend on 13th, 14th and 15th May and shopped at Oh La La Vintage and the Haworth Vintage Fair. I hope you enjoyed it all as much as we did. check out
